At Seattle University Credit Union Initiative, we are run by student interns who are compensated with various different benefits!
Hands-On Experience
Our student interns gain valuable hands-on experience in real-world settings. By learning to strategize, organize, and manage different departments, they get the chance to apply classroom knowledge to real-life roles, preparing them for future professional success.
Academic Credit
Our student interns earn academic credit each quarter for their involvement in the initiative. Although structured like a class, we operate as an organization, providing students with academic credit in recognition of their contributions.
Networking
Our student interns benefit from extensive networking opportunities, connecting with professionals who serve as guest speakers, mentors, and board members for our initiative. These industry experts guide us through the process, sharing their experiences and insights to help students learn and grow.
Skill Development
Our student interns have the invaluable opportunity to build essential, resume-boosting skills such as leadership, presentation, management and more. This experience allows them to develop practical abilities that are crucial for their future careers.
